The Mini Cooper S ($19,899) adds a supercharged version of the four-cylinder engine, a six-speed manual gearbox, stiffer front and rear anti-roll bars for flatter handling and 16-inch wheels. The Cooper S has exterior trim that distinguishes it from the base model. Inside, the S adds sport seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. No automatic is available.
Stand-alone options include automatic air conditioning ($300), a Harman Kardon stereo with eight speakers ($550), leather seats ($1300), xenon headlamps ($550), a navigation system ($1700), and Dynamic Stability Control ($500). Other options are grouped into packages: The Premium Package ($1350) includes sunroof, automatic air conditioning, on-board computer and cruise control. The Cold Weather Package ($570) includes heated seats, mirrors and windshield-washer jets, along with rain-sensing wipers and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
All Minis come with a luxury-class list of safety features, including anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution, front and front side-impact airbags, curtain-style head-protection airbags for all passengers, a crash sensor that automatically unlocks the doors, seatbelt pretensioners and side-impact door beams. The Cooper S adds traction control. Both cars offer DSC electronic stability control ($500) as an option and New Car Test Drive recommends getting it.

I don't know if I'd want to pay MSRP in 2007 for a 2005 vehicle though.
Minihune has it though - $19,8k for a base car. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen a MCS that was bone stock / base / bare!

MSRP plus all options and destination fee would be standard.
KBB is a guide. Sellers can be motivated and sell lower if the condition of the car is less than perfect or you can prove it's worth less or if the seller has a close time frame to work with.
Note all of the options the MINI has as these usually add up quickly and add to the cost of the MINI. $3000-$5000 in options is common.
Mine's loaded with many factory options, including:
H/K stereo with controls on the steering wheel
Sunroof
DSC
Automatic HVAC
onboard computer
17" alloy wheels with run flat tires (Perreli)
Chrome mirror covers, dash/console
Leather seating
Xenon lights
fog lights
cruise control
I bought it at Carmax. They pulled up a report from KBB.com that said it was worth $26K but I didn't really believe it was worth that much.
It had only 12,500 miles on it when I bought it. Carmax is probably a good place to check for pricing comparisons. www.carmax.com
Good luck

Only options my 04 had were the 17" SLites and silver dash trim. Mine has the standard cloth seats, no fogs, no sunroof, and no packages. It's about as bare bones as I've seen. At least it's probably one of the lighter ones because of it being a "stripper".
