Obligatory Little Car Picture

Just took the first picture of my "new" 02 Cooper that I picked up on Friday. I was walking around my apartment and peered out the window and what do you know? Little car and a big car:

It is an 02 Cooper with 11k miles, Jet Black/White, only options are chrome pack, fogs, heated seats, and 16s. I've put about 500 miles on her so far including some laps at Lime Rock on Monday . This is my third MINI, first two were R53s. Gotta love the original.

Easy with the comments...I'm sure the soccer mom and her single child need the extra room that behemoth gives.

Riiight!

Anyway, only 11K miles? That's awesome! And it looks great, too!

Love the pic, and sure, she needs all that room. To carry her ego and the gas tank it takes to push that thing around town.....

Yea I didn't even realize how many gigantic cars were around me. And yea I'm used to the line sitters. Hence I pulled all the way against the other curb. I am waiting to see how many more photos people took at Lime Rock and really hope someone has some video. We were WAILING around the track on "parade laps". Apparently the Ss made it into the triple digits!

Very nice low mile 02. Looks great in the parking lot. Did you check for door dings?

Good to see your still loving MINIs and adopting an older child (MINI).

How were your lap times with the 02, do you have other lap times to compare your previous MINIs?

Welcome to my world, i park next to one of those everyday. It sits in my driveway and belongs to my mom. It's after you do it for about 6 months that you realize "dang, i drive a really small car".

And then you park next to one of these and ask yourself why Mini had to make the new ones so stinkin' big! ...

Nah... I always think of it as "wow.... how and why do these people drive such HUGE cars?!?!?!".

I think a MINI is a great size, heck, it's a lot bigger than what I drive now. I never had a single problem fitting anything in mine. My MINIs carried tons of groceries, bunches of wheels and tires to the track, my bike, helped me move halfway across the country, once even carried six people at once. It's quite roomy if you ask me

You've just described us! Single kid, heavily involved in soccer, momma drives an 04 Escalade! That's our soccer cruising vehicle. We just came back from a tourney in San Diego that we had a blast at.

I'll post a pic when we get the MINI of it sitting quietly beside the 'Lade!

See guys, they're everywhere

PHX ATC, admitting this is step 2 in a life of improvement (Step 1 - Denial; Step 2 - Acceptance; Step 3 - Anger; Step 4 - Resisitance; Step 5 - Resolution)

Yep they throw boots on the really terrible offenders. There has been a boot on a Celica, which hasn't moved, for nearly two weeks.

I can't take pictures like this, my car is always by itself in the very back of any parkinglots.

Well, if there's not an empty area in his parking lot that stays empty all day, he's found the next best thing - the right-hand end of a row, with no parking spaces in front of him, and a curbed grassy area on the right-hand side of his car.

Parking at the right-hand end of a row is the most important part, though. Since most other drivers are alone in their cars, the odds of getting a ding from someone's passenger door are a lot lower than getting one from a driver's door.
