Best Place in Philadelpia area For Service and Parts
I recently bought a used 04 MCS and live in the Phila. area. Who would you recommend for service and parts basing your answer on satisfaction of work and cost?
For tuning in the Philly area, you've got Helix right in your backyard. Smart, capable guys. For service, I've been using Mini of the Main Line but I'm still under warranty. But for non-warranty work they've been fast and very fair on prices for both parts/labor.
Helix is great, we are lucky to have a shop like that in our area.
Also check out Bimmerworks in West Chester. http://bimmerworks.com/content.php
I'm part of PhillyMINI, we get a discount there with membership.

I've been to both Otto's in West Chester and Mini of Main Line for service. At both service was great. I think Mini of Main Line was faster service, altough there could have been other reason Otto's was slow that day. I'm about equal distance to either one from work or home.
I can't say I've been to Helix or Bimmerworks yet, but I'm still under warrenty for another 1/2 year or so.
I'd like to spend more time doing PhillyMini events, but I'm just too busy these days. If you ever need a code scanned or have ?'s, don't hesitate to ask.
See you around,
Joe

Mini Main Line is really great. I got a flat a few weeks back, on the weekend, and their service department was closed. I asked them if I could buy the stock runflat tire from them and they actually went and found the exact tire and sold it to me. I was incredibly greatful, because I spent hours on the phone calling every Goodyear, Firestone, and Pepboys in the area, none of whom seem to carry runflats. When I got to the dealership to pick up the tire, I asked if they knew anyone that would put it on (places like Firestone wont put on tires unless you buy it from them). They actually arranged for BMW Main Line to put on the tire, even though they dont normally service Minis.
Bottom line: I will be going there next time I need service, and not Mini Fairfield County.
