Auction has ended. Guess they didn't last too long. A few MINI folk out there are now happier.
Cheers,

This auction fell through. The seller claims he has 4 JCW kits in crates and is keeping one. He wants to sell the other three to the top three bidders but first they must meet his "reserve price" which is above $3550. Since no one met reserve then the whole deal is off and no one will get the kits at that price. Reserve price protects the seller from having to sell the items at firesale prices if no one tries to bid at a fair price. Now the seller can choose to repost the auction for another 5 to 7 days and keep the reserve price.

This seller has no record of past transaction and is acting like a private party. If you get the parts I would ask if any dealer is willing to accept the parts, do the labor and provide the warranty. I think you might run into trouble. the parts need to be bought at and installed by only an authorized dealer. Otherwise you may be getting grey market good or knockoffs.

Buyers beware of scams.

The kit DOES NOT include installation. On the regular price of the $4,500 kit most Mini dealers charge at least another $1,500 to install it. If you bring your own Works kit that you bought off ebay,I'm sure they will charge you even more to install it since they aren't making a profit of the $4,500 kit. Therefore, even if you save $1,000 or so on the kit you'll probably pay an extra grand for installation.

Maybe these 4 kits "fell off a truck" ???

If I were going to go with the JCW, I'd probably get it from the dealer so that I could also have the warranty that comes with a dealer installed and purchased kit.

Yea, the first thing I would point out is NO, I repeat NO feedback. Selling for a friend? BS. I've been on Ebay for over 2 years, have about 5 feedback, no negs. I also know a guy who does it from the library, 1 year, 500 feedback, no negs. I mean, who cannot go on Ebay, there are computers everywhere. For a friend my ***! SCAM!!!!
