Well you probably already know this from my last post, but I made it on the Jingu Maru and she's headed for NYC!!! Strangely enough I'm only listed ny the last 7 of my vin on WW. I noticed quite a few others were the same way including MoBoost.

Yeah, you can't tell that I'm a bit excited about making the Jingu Maru! haha

click on ...northern region (on the left menu)...then a map will come up with the wave graphics....click above,(big circle) on marine observations...a chart with some ships will show up....go up in the page,next to the 3 big circles,and click on JAVA LOOP. maps will show up,you can slow the slide show at the bottom ...you will see the Jingu Maru position as of last hour....call sign "JPPT" THAT'S THE BOAT!!!!!Have fun!!

Yahoo!! Great news, thanks!! I was out of town and when I returned and was unsucessfull searching using the entire VIN I thought that something had happened to my car. I am really psyched!!

 

Well, judging from the last 'production status' list that Ryephile provided it seems I will end up on the TANABATA which sails on the 19. Here's why. I assume I went into production on the 10th as the list says, and it takes a week to build if I remember right, so that's the 17th, the HUAL TRITON will have already left on the 16th. A day to get to the docks, which will put me on the TANABATA leaving on the 19th and arriving a day before the HUAL TRITON, maybe it'll take a day longer here or there and I'll end up on the TAI SHAN which gets here on the 1st. That would be nice. Maybe I should call instead of speculate. Later I guess.

 

Oh, and the WW site is weird. I put in the last 7 digits of some VINs and it works, but when I put in the last 7 for Kim/Lemon Drop (TD73776) I get nothing, even though it's on the boat.

 

I kept playing around with some of the VINs and put some in from the list to see if I could get anything. I finally got one to work (MEBOBs) and I used his booking number. I went to that list and used the td... part again in the tracking thing and came up with nothing, then I put the WMWRE... part in and it worked. I guess some of the people on duty for the shift that the car was put on were lazy and just used the td... part instead of the whole thing.

 

Grrrr, Somebody better post something before I come back from my shower (IF we have hot water, damn Smith!)!

Kim, I'm kind of surprised that you're on the Jingu Maru, I would've thought you'd be almost to the U.S. docks by now!

 

Well, from what I can tell, my car was done 9/11 but doesn't ship until 9/24. Anyone else shipping to CA?

Well, I can't belive my total luck!!!! My MINI went into the paint shop last Monday (9/8), they finished production on Wednesday (9/10) and it made it over to the docks and onto the Jingu Maru....now that's some motoring :evil: . They better stay away from my MINI!!!!!!

i am a 9/12 and my car is now ready to sail on the TAI SHAN. recieved at terminal on the 13th. according to WW, it will leave on the 20th and arrive into NYC on the 28th.

then on to Baltimore on the 29th and Charleston on the 1st for any of u guys waiting down south.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, but I missed the Tokyo Highway's last voyage by one day I think so that delayed it till now. No hurry, we aren't driving out to TN until October 25th to pick up Lemon Drop anyway. I wonder what is the longest anyone has driven to pick up their MINI?

Boy you guys dont know how good it is to turn the shower on and have hot water the whole time you're in it until you've lived in Smith Hall. That's the longest shower I've ever taken.

I'm so dumb, I called ASK MINI today for the first time, by the time the guy finished his spiel I was excited about getting a REAL update on my MINI and I forgot it was Sunday. Poo, someone needs to be there 24hrs a day and 7 days a week. I could just see some coffee fiend sitting there cracking up from all us obsessive freaks calling all the time, and then he snaps on someone.

My mcs vin Td74723 completed on 9/10 and now at terminal to be shipped on the TAI SHAN which sails on 9/20. I'll bet that damned hurricane will delay delivery for about a week.

My MINI is currently somewhere in the North Atlantic aboard the Jingu Maru

I am very concerned about hurricane Isabel...it this monster sized storm touches land in SC or the sorrounding region could be very devasting (I already have lived thru hurricane Andrew in '92) and also could delay the delivery of our cars
