FraserBonnett Jun 6, 2003 09:33 PM

Oh god, the humanity ...

Ryephile Jun 6, 2003 09:37 PM

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

please say a woman is driving that! (or Davbret , tee hee!)

sndwave Jun 6, 2003 10:38 PM

Ryephile – you know this kind of stuff is for more “sensitive” people.  But a MINI with flowers going by me at 100 MPH would get my respect.

BankyEdwards Jun 7, 2003 12:10 AM

whoa, by the title, i thought this was going to be a thread about weezer...

the decals look like @$$ though...

Nomonstersinme Jun 7, 2003 12:15 AM

i'm not a fan of that at all.. but i do think the company that makes those is a sponsor or MCO...
or am i completely wrong?

Rocketboy_X Jun 7, 2003 12:20 AM

Great for MINI COOPERS or VW Bugs
Anything that is 'great' for VW Bugs is terribly wrong for MINI Coopers...

Good God, those are butt-ugly!!! If I see a felow MINI on the road with those, I may get ill and throw up in my MINI.

"you know this kind of stuff is for more “sensitive” people."

I don't think this stuff is for "sensitive" people, just a little "touched!"

So VERY true. Much agreed there. Even my girl says that's cheesey, and too cutesie.
Cheers,

That was one of the original designs that Cooperflags (an MCO sponsor) emailed me before they even started production.

VerucaSalt Jun 9, 2003 08:46 AM

Yeah I thought it looked familiar! The flowers remind me of the kind you stick to the bottom of your bathtub so you don't slip.....

nfo Jun 9, 2003 08:48 AM

to think that i thought the flower power imac was too much!

Donna/Mike Jun 9, 2003 09:00 AM

Not really my style - BUT - we did see a Silk Green from Georgia down at Deal's Gap that had some much smaller flowers sort of like these on it - I thought it looked pretty good  It gave the MINI a fun/different look

There may be some pictures of her car on the Deal's Gap thread.

dandp Jun 9, 2003 09:31 AM

I think we've only scratched the surface with "individualization" of the MINI - think of the varities to come. Riced out MINI's, bling-bling MINI's, VW & PT Cruiser wannabe MINI's, the MINI Cabrio in front of the sorority house with the red bow on it for Buffy's birthday. Every time I'm at a meet, every MINI is a little different, that's a good thing. But there will be some real interesting stuff coming...prepare for it.

FraserBonnett Jun 9, 2003 09:41 AM

my 2c, if it looks good on a VW bug, then there's no place for it on a Mini ... of course, I could be wrong, it's been known to happen

gokartride Jun 9, 2003 10:06 AM

Dandp has it right...brace yourselves! I think the flower-power MINI could have been poorly done, but IMHO Cooperflags did a really, really nice job on it. Plus, it seems like it was PERFECT for the owner. (...never met HER except through the local web site.) If we can have agressive-looking MINIs then why not encourage some to explore the fun side, too. Remember the classic art thread?...it could happen!

I used to shake my head at people who lowered their cars, tinted the windows, modified things - used to call them Slammers before Ricers became popular. Now, what I have done? Lowered my MINI, tinted the windows and modified it. Oh the hippocracy
It's okay now because (take your pick)
1. It's my car
2. It's a MINI (and it's mine)
3. Everyone else is doing it
4. I'm going to be 36 and it horrifies me

Rocketboy_X Jun 10, 2003 12:39 AM

>>4. I'm going to be 36 and it horrifies me

Heh heh.. you're old.. heh heh heh....

(Ok, so you're not that much older than me... but still... you're old... heh heh)

Yeah, call me Methuselah. Too bad I can't fit my walker in the boot.

Not my cup of tea. But if you're looking to make your MINI shagtastic, then it might be for you.
