PIAA Driving Light kit connection for '05/'06 Xenon

There seems to be some confusion about wiring into the brights on the '05/'06s with Xenons. Please, can someone confirm that they tapped into the yellow/green wire coming out of the bright lights and everything is working normally? I intend to leave the switch in the engine compartment always "on" - the idea is to have the driving lights come on whenever I turn on the brights. I had this arrangement on another car and loved it. I just want to ensure that no one has blown their xenon lights with this setup. Thanks in advance.

Not having experience with an HID car... that said I would think as long as you are using a relay that you would be fine. The relay would only be using a very small voltage to trip itself and turn on the power. It wouldn't be sucking enough volts or amps for that matter to reduce power to the HID.
I like that thought though. I have a set of driving lights hooked to the side marker lights on my truck. I should have just connected to the high beam since thats when I generally run those extra lights.
