Who are you?!
I'm goin nuts over here:lol:

minicr8zy May 21, 2007 01:54 PM

It is not my Mini, but I also have the black aero grills from

http://outmotoring.com/mini_aero_grill_kit.html

Hope that is what you wish to have (a location to purchase them). No affiliation, just trying to assist.

fentos May 21, 2007 02:24 PM

I was just looking at that Aero grill earlier today. Really cleans up the front for those who don't want all the "bling"

minicr8zy May 21, 2007 02:46 PM

I really like/enjoy my front black aero grill. It takes some time to install and get right so be aware of the installation difficulties. The top portion on the bonnet is not too difficult but the bottom portion needs some work to get it to fit right on the lower bumper. I read many of the threads on installing the black aero grills on a Mini as well as the one Gabe porvides through Outmotoring. I'd recommend reading them carefully and maybe more than once. The black aero grill is a very welcome modification to my Mini or maybe to any Mini as I like it more. It is a matter of preference.

Happy installation.....

Thank you guys so much, I scowered the web to find these but as you can see the picture i was dealing with wasnt the best one
I'm gonna enjoy getting this on, and I'll post some pics when shes done

HighSchoolzMINI May 21, 2007 05:08 PM

and btw, anyone have a picture of a RG MCS with the black aero grill?

minjae May 21, 2007 06:03 PM

dont mean to take business away from businesses but i got them for real cheap (cheapest i found) at classic mini. here's the site
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=36665
i got them for about 80 including shipping.
great mod..i regret not taking my time on the lower section. i finished doing my grills in less than 2 hours.
search around and you'll find lots of pictures of your color mini. :)

HighSchoolzMINI May 21, 2007 06:06 PM

yea thats about what outmotoring.com sells them for

HighSchoolzMINI May 21, 2007 06:18 PM

also does anybody know if the grill on the bottom of the bumper is the same as the aero grill?

yeah its the same as the aero grill, but you have to modifiy it to make it fit onto the stock bumper cover, youre goin to need a dremmel, some black spray paint and double sided tape or epoxy to make the lower grill stay on the bumper cover, it should take you no more than 2 hrs. to do the whole mod:thumbsup:

eager2own May 22, 2007 05:52 AM

Don't know what they charge, but I believe Detroit Tuned also sells these.

Edit - $88

The blue car in the first post is nice but if you look at the "middle" grille it was not modified. If you look closely you can tell it is not flush with the bumper. I did this mod and ended up not liking it much so bought just the front aero bumper.

It's no fair for Richard to post his JB/JB he's a detail guru and always makes a car in a hard color look good. Here's mine with the aero setup on
a non-aero bumper too:

Duck Bill?? As in Strassentech Lip??
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=101003

For the Aero Kit side skirts, try Classic MINI in Ohio. 2 weeks ago I ordered them prepainted--I was told 4 to 6 weeks before they ship--NAM price $259.20 each.

Not much of a group buy . They are only giving free shipping on the parts. These are very!! expensive, plastic $399., Carbon fiber $599.. Does look nice though:thumbsup:. OctaneGuy which one do you have? If the plastic one does it look nice? I know the Carbon fiber one would be sweet looking. I also had a dub. 81 Scirroco Modded, was very nice. But not nearly as nice as a Mini .
