By the way, for those of us who have not attended MoTD, would you like to tell us a bit about it? |
It's official! I've had my True Blue Countryman since Thursday night. I still haven't named it, but I've sure as heck been driving it. Does that make me #40?

Yes, it does but you don't look a day over 39! What's your secret? Formaldehyde? (Oh, Mondays are MADE for Sarcasm!)
Also, being significantly younger than 39 helps. |

Also, being significantly younger than 39 helps. Good hearing from you! By the way, I'm going to be out your way about this time next month. I'll be attending my first real MINI event, the MINIs On Top up in New Hampshire. Mt. Washington has such a bad reputation for lousy weather that I'm not getting my hopes up... |

VERY Good!! Hang on to it as long as you can. And remember, I've probably got sweaters older than you!

Washington has such a bad reputation for lousy weather that I'm not getting my hopes up... They do get extreme weather up there, but by mid-June it should be passable even if it's rainy or foggy. And who knows? Sometimes it's clear and sunny and you feel like you can see the whole world. |
I've read accounts of the bike race on the mountain and how the weather changes. And that event is in the 2nd half of August!?!?
In my travels I usually try to seek out the tallest structure/building where ever I happen to be. However, only one other time has it been a natural entity: Mt. Palomar in California, but it is about 1200 shorter than Mt. Washington. |
MoTD was a blast!!! It was my first time and everything was perfect from the weather, the twisties, and hanging with 500+ Minis and their owners. I stayed in Xiek's cabin (great guy) in Fontana Village. My fav was the Midnight Run which, as I've said on NAM before, was the most terrifying, exhilarating thing that I have ever done! I'll definitely be back next year!
