So this was posted a while ago but we're 2 weeks from the event!
I just signed up so My wife and I can take part to the Schenley Park event on the 19th and 20th.

Now I'm a little confused I wouldn't mind some clarification.
there seemed to be conflicting info.

The registration talks about a parade lap on track on Sunday morning between 11 and noon before the race (http://www.pvgp.org/mini/ and here: http://www.pvgp.org/marquepavilion/), while the PitStop pages talks about no parade on Sunday but on Saturday morning with police escort (http://www.pvgp.org/mini-club/). I'm a tad confused

Are those two different things?

 

Yes they are 2 different things. PittStopMINI has always hosted a Saturday police escorted parade into Schenley. We will be meeting around 8am at the Second Ave parking lot near the 10th street bridge. http://bit.do/MINIParade For the location and route we will be taking.

The Sunday parade lap is hosted by PVGP because we are the marque of the year. We will be doing a lap around the actual race track around 11. To participate in that, you'll need to be back at Schenley in the MINI Marque pavilion around 10am on Sunday the 20th.

Two different things. The Saturday morning is the Police escorted parade to Shenley to enter the PVGP grounds. Sunday is the marque parade around the track.

I'm not part of PittStopMINI club . . . not because I haven't been interested but mostly because I've been too busy to give it the attention it probably deserve.

I'm guessing it's alright if we tag along even if we're not part of the club (yet...)?


By the way, will the 10th street bridge be freely open to all MINI participant?

When are we going to have a week free of rain?!!

I spend a lot of time making the MINI shiny today only to find out the weather is not going to be what I had hoped

And of course it's going from bad to worse with rain almost the entire weekend! I don't know I can take this...

 

Almost too late a question but for the Sunday Lap Parade do you know if we need to always enter by 5400 Forbes avenue (East of the Park) then drive down Schenley Dr. Or are we suppose to enter via Schenley Drive West, by Phipps concervatory? (Sort of the way we came in for the Saturday PittStop parade)...
