Buying Experiences at MINI of Pittsburgh?

I'm looking to buy a 2010 MINI Cooper Hardtop this June and was hoping some of you could share your experiences.

The car with the all options and everything I want will most likely need to be ordered. Any experiences with that?

Is MINI of Pittsburgh the only/best place around here to buy new?

Thanks.

MOP is the only dealer in the Pittsburgh area. You would have to travel to the Cleveland area for the next closest dealer.

MOP is fair, and the Mototring Advisor's are great to deal with.

As for ordering your car, they will do it right, it will take as long as any other dealer to come in, they can't work magic.

Thanks for the quick response. I was pretty sure that was the only place I'd be able to go without a far drive.

I've never bought a new car before, let alone order one. What is the approximate 'normal' length of time to get a car in after ordering?

That depends on various factors. Unless something has changed dramatically that I'm unaware of, it is usually anywhere from 4-8 weeks except for rare circumstances. Of course, both 4 and 8 are at the extremes of "usual." 5-7 weeks is probably a better estimate.

Thanks. I found out that the color I wanted, Oxygen Blue, is getting discontinued in March.... So I've no choice but to go order it this week and hope that it takes the later of the 6-8 weeks the salesman quoted me.

I've also requested information from the dealers in VA, OH, and MD to see if they would be competitive on prices... but I'm guessing there won't be much luck there.

ordered my car there new in 2005. they listened to my every need. took delivery late since I lived out of town then and got lost. they stayed late for me to take delivery and still explained every aspect of the car. no complaints about buying the car there.
