MINI of Allentown in association with PhillyMINI Presents: the “Lehigh Valley MINI Grand Prix”

Please come out as PhillyMINI welcomes the East Coast’s newest home for MINIs – MINI of Allentown!

MINI of Allentown‘s dealership has been open for business since mid-July, but they are looking to make their presence known with a Grand Opening Celebration like no other. What better way to let the Lehigh Valley know about MINI than to turn the PhillyMINI Rally Veterans loose on the roads surrounding the Valley?

This three-leg rally will start and end at MINI of Allentown’s dealership location near the intersection of Rts 22 & 309 in Allentown, PA. The MINI Grand Prix route will lead us through the back-roads of Lehigh, Carbon, and Northampton counties. Pit-stops in Walnutport and Wind Gap will help break the 3 hour route into manageable 1 hour sprints, allowing everyone to stretch the legs and accommodate all MOTORers on the 90ish mile lap around the Valley.

• Ever been to Egypt? - No!? Well, that answer will change after this run! (Egypt, PA that is!)
• Do you play acoustic guitar? – We’ll be driving past Martin Guitar’s factory in Nazareth, PA.
• Ever wonder what Mario Andretti’s pad must look like? – You’ll get a glimpse of his Villa on the way back to the Dealership.

Gary Daniels, Bill Stoeckel, and their MINI Crew are pulling out all the stops. First off… there is no limit, that’s right NO LIMIT, to the number of attendees. MINI of Allentown is looking to have as many personalized MINIs on hand to show off to the general public after the rally. [NOTE: if you are planning on making your MINI *sparkle*, in order to show it off, you may want to keep the effort a little light! There will be DUST, and if it rains (praying for sunny skies!) your MINI will be suffering from PRDBS!] After the Rally, there will be MINI Texas Wieners and MINI Sliders available, courtesy of MoA!!

Here comes one of the best parts… Jim McDowell (from MINI of North America) and Sherry Weber (from KidsPeace) will be on hand to present PhillyMINI’s very own… Mr. MIKE MARZO with the keys to the BRAND NEW MINI Cooper he won from the charity raffle, in support of KidsPeace. [Granted, the presentation will be ceremonial, but it is going to be cool all the same!] Also, there is going to be a Chinese Auction with some great items up for grabs! Tickets will be $5 each and all proceeds will benefit KidsPeace.

WAIT… there’s MORE!! DB and Todd from WhiteRoofRadio are coming out to help celebrate the grand opening! So, let’s all get together and help spread the PhillyMINI love at MINI’s new home in our own back yard!

Wheels of Time Show Info:
• The show opens at 7 AM each day and goes until sundown as far as looking at the cars. The music goes until 10:30 PM on Friday and 11:00 PM on Saturday
• Donation $8.00 ($2.00 discount with a can of food for the Allentown Rescue Mission)
Children under 16 (with an adult) are free.
• Handicapped accessible (wheelchair and motorized wheelchair ONLY)
• No pets, bikes or skateboards permitted in the park

My husband and I will be there. We will only bring one car, but we are both Mini owners.
