PDX MINI Heads To The American Lemans Races
Well, it's that time of year again.
The sun is out and it's racing season in the Northwest. It will be July before we know it, and the American LeMans Series Weekend will be upon us! This event is fast becoming a Portland tradition. This series combines some of the most exotic racing machinery and some of the most prestigious manufacturers and cars, together with world class racing drivers and teams.
Car makers like Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, Audi, Maserati, Panoz, Mazda, Aston Martin, Saleen, Chevrolet all have entries in the series. They and their teams strive to win the ALMS series championship, as well as the world famous endurance race, the 24 Hours of LeMans.
This year, the headline event for the race weekend, the ALMS Grand Prix of Portland will be held on Saturday night, July 22nd. That's hardly the only thing to see. The entire weekend will be filled with phenomenal racing action from the Star Mazda open wheel series and the USTCC series, the Formula TR series and more.
WHAT: AMERICAN LEMANS SERIES GRAND PRIX OF PORTLAND

WHEN: JULY 21st, 22nd, and 23rd
It's going to be a fantastic event, and PDX MINI has arranged to take advantage of a discount offered to PDX MINI as a car club entry. If you are interested in attending the event, here's what you will be buying.
THERE ARE TWO OPTIONS FOR PDX MINI CLUB TICKETS:
FULL WEEKEND CREDENTIALS (3 days):
-$50
-3 day package includes reserved ticket, ALMS infield paddock pass, car club hospitality area pass and corral parking (special pre-designated trackside parking area)
"SATURDAY ONLY" CREDENTIALS (Headline Event Day):
-$35
-Single day package includes reserved ticket, ALMS infield paddock pass, car club hospitality area pass and corral parking (special pre-designated trackside parking area)

I'm sorry to say but the Speed World Challenge won't be at Portland with ALMS.
But after the reception that the United States Touring Car Championships Series had with the CHAMP cars last month, They'll be back. And this time the USTCC #58 MINI S will be there as well. We had to miss the last event. We will be having practice on Friday, Qualifying on Saturday with the Race at noon on Sunday. see Schedule
Any Portland MINI's stop on by the paddocks for a chat and refreshments.
