Aloha,
I was looking for new rims for my MCS and came accross to this Store SK PERFORMANCE RACE DESIGN
which is Located at 15515 S.E. HONEYSUCKLE WAY CLACKAMAS, OREGON.
My question is are they reputable/reliable store?
Did anyone purchase rims from them?
Your comments are greatly appreciated.

Thank You in Advance

Never heard of them, but I could go check them out if you'd like. Shoot me a PM as I don't come by this forum too often. You could also try posting in the PDXMINI forum

I almost purchased a set of wheels from them as referred by MINIhune. But I ended up getting the JCW wheels instead. They do offer very competitive prices on their wheels.

I will check into this for you. The good news, they are located very close to my house. The bad (potentially) news, this is a neighborhood address and this business must be run from someones house and/or garage. Not necessarly bad, Mini Maddness started this way. I should be able to check it out by Friday.

Thanks sanddan, I'm interested in this place now as well.

This is the place, right?

I drove by on the way home from work yesterday and yes it's in a neigborhood of fairly small homes. My guess is they are the middle man between a distributor and the consumer. Maybe low overhead translates to lower prices? Should I give them a call?

Looks fishy though, when someone run business on their home but agree in order to lower the cost.Best way
to find out to check if they are member of the Better Business Bureau.
I appreciate everybody's effort.
Mahalo

btw: I've tried to call them but seems busy all the time

At the time when I was considering of making a purchase from this vendor, I was going to pick up the order in person to avoid any unnecessary complication. However, this might be somewhat difficult for you since you're in Hawaii.

early_apex 04-08-2004 12:21 PM

Would you have saved shipping cost picking up in person? If they are a middle man, I was thinking they might ship directly from the manufacturers.

drea-min 04-09-2004 01:07 AM

At least still cheaper compare to the price at Outmotoring and other vendors. I expect additional shipping around $150-200 for just the rims (set of 4).If someone can confirm if they're reputable I will order from them, I tried calling them but no one avail. all messages.

davecsumini: You said you almost bought your set of rims from them? If you share your experience with the vendor i really appreciated.

Thank you for the help

>>davecsumini: You said you almost bought your set of rims from them? If you share your experience with the vendor i really appreciated.

Not much of an experience really, since I never initiated the order! What attracted me was the price. Indeed, the best I've seen.

Have you PM MINIhune? I think he was the one who made the reference to that particular website.

drea-min 04-09-2004 09:35 PM

davecsumini: Thanks.... I did mentioned to Minihune last time at SCCA but not much info. he ended-up
buying his rims from Randy. I wish I could talk to someone personnaly instead of answering machine

I wouldn't buy from a place that didn't answer the phone. If you had a problem you'd be SOL.
