Pretty much almost everything I do any other time of the year- and then add snowshoeing (if I'm up north), sitting by a toasty fire, enjoying the beauty of crisp, frost filled days and nights.

Which is worse...?

Going to a job that you hate but receiving excellent benefits (better than you will get anywhere else outside of being a politician or extremely rich) and 8-9 weeks of vacation per year. Or going to a job that you don't hate but receiving mediocre benefits and 2-3 weeks of vacation per year.

That's difficult.

I would say, unless the time off is a huge deal or the extra benefits are necessary versus just nice, that the worse option would be the job you hated.

But you'd have to really, really hate it.

I'm trying to decide if I want to warm up a Burrito. Getting bored waiting for MOTD.

Last night I found "The Italian Job (1969)" listed to broadcast on HBO. I got really excited! However, when I turned it on at the beginning of the movie it was the new version, mislabeled in the TV guide.

I know what you mean. I have a permanent search set on my DVR, but the only version that ever comes up is the new one.

Oh man! I’m trying to feel sorry for you, but can’t seem to pull it off.

Italian Job, try your local library. If they don't have it many libraries are part of Worldcat interlibrary loans. I use it all the time.

I have a digital copy anyway.

Random thought: Die-cast people are crazy, particularly the Corgi collectors.

Yesterday I went to a local Hot Wheels/Matchbox/Die-cast show at the AACA Museum in Hershey. I went on a whim because it was close by, rainy, and I figured I could find some Minis. While I was there I met a dude who traveled from Hungary for the show as part of his vacation. He was headed to Philly and I told him he had to get a good cheesesteak while he was in town. There was another guy there who was from England and said he travels to the US at least once a month to buy Hot Wheels. I didn't ask him specifics, but apparently they bring enough of a premium across the pond that he makes money running Hot Wheels. There was a guy selling a collection of antique Corgi Minis that started at $175 per car, upper prices were over $400. I did not purchase any of those, but I wanted all of them.

So, yeah, diecasts are a big thing, bigger than I realized.

Well, I'm still at the same job. And I still hate it. There are larger forces at play but I'll probably ride this out for a couple years unless something presents itself.

Can't let this thread lag... I have MANY rando thoughts currently, but none I'm willing to "voice" in case of jinxing.

Happy Friday, folks.

😆😆 Rando, random, tomaytoe, tomahtoe. 😁 When your brain is on constant buzz, everything seems random, there are 500 tabs open, and where is the music COMING FROM?!?! Heading to MOTD after two weeks on the road teaching, so I thought I'd pop back in here and say hi! And bump a few worthy threads. 😉

This thread does not get the traction I feel it should.

I went to a Rallycross event today to spectate, it was five minutes from my house. Now I'm on Craigslist trying to find a $500 car I can run next month. They said my F250 was not allowed to participate...

Yeah, I already have too many bikes and cars.

They are worried about vehicles rolling over, tall trucks are banned.
