Make and model of my ride...Take a guess.

I bought this car about 2 years ago as my daily driver to keep the miles off the Coop. When I started driving the car around and going to auto parts stores, I always get the comment... "What car is that" "Who makes that car" ect, ect. Anyway, I thought I would post a pic and let you fellow NAM members try to guess what car it is. Be nice, I know its a little on the ugly side and I know it needs a paint job....

I second that it's a Cordia.

But I'm guessing it's an '88.

Do I get a cookie if I win?

Man, you guys take the fun out of everything. You guys are a lot smarter than my local autoparts stores. You would be surprised how many people do not know what this car is. It is a 1988 Turbo Cordia (the last year.)

It's a nice car man, a fresh paint job and that thing will be awesome. I know because a tuner kid at school has one, though that's the only one I've ever seen until now.

Its in the mail...... They are quite rare. The old Cordia just about keeps up with the MINI. Im running 13lbs of boost up from the stock 6lbs. Installed a front mount intercooler and 2.5" exhaust. Its a little fun car to drive, not as small as the MINI....

I drove all of their turbo cars back then, including the Starion. Nice cars, and no you don't see them much anymore.

I got this FMIC off ebay and had to weld up a IC mount for it. I have fabricate parts for the Cordia since they have NO aftermarket support for the car. The strut bar in the pic (Up top.) is a modified Chevy Caviler (SP) strut bar. In order to run 650 injectors, I had to use GM injectors that were modified to fit. The Cordia did not come with a BOV or FMIC. I welded up some piping for the intercooler and installed a Blitz BOV. Kinda have more fun working on the Cordia then the MINI....

I much prefer the rear wheel drive Mitsu Starion/Plymouth Conquest of the same time period:

I believe this was the last affordable GT sports coupe offered by the 3 diamond company before switching to the bigger/heavier GT3000/Stealth cars of the 1990's.

My old neighboors used to have a '88 Cordia exactly like yours. That car after 4/5 years had totally faded paint. It looked tired. Sad for a car that was good looking in its time.

At the time they had the Cordia and the Tredia. I was holding out for the Beadia.
