Rally Racing @ it's Worst

I've posted this before, but with so many new people here I just have to do it once a year.

This file you'll have to "save link target as" to view it.

Awesome stuff. http://miniraiders.invisionzone.com/...lt/biggrin.gif

And boy do I just hate it when I drive off the cliff. :eek2:

This is one of my favorite videos. Does anyone have the video link to The Petter Solberg crash on SS12 in the 2005 Monte Carlo Rallye? He hits ice, slides, hits a rock, which breaks his left wheel. He then goes into a massive cussing fit. Ive the video on crash.net once, but i havent seen it since.

Great stuff! I hadn't seen that before - thanks for sharing!

Bad Day at the Rally Office

Great examples of how when a car "gets light" and the landing zone is iffy, all bets are off! Note how successive drivers make the same mistake at the same place. Should be required viewing whenever one starts feeling a little overconfident behind the wheel. Thanks!

"Rally Racing @ it's worst" ????

That's Rallying at its BEST! It's one of the reasons rallying is way better to watch than boring old track racing....you don't see crashes like that in F-1!!!

I love rally & watching one get close to the very edge only to save it. We've lost some very good people in the last few years. Videos of cars crashing just doesn't seem right to me. Just my .02 here.

Yes that's what I'm talking about, great driving & a huge dose of good luck. Maybe the luckiest one of all was that spectator. I'm betting he needed a change of knickers.

Its the first person perspective of a stage in finland from solberg and mills. Record time!

Man that was some truly inspired driving. There is so much trust between those two. Once Phil reads the note Petter is full on committed. Wonderful stuff.

It certainly is. To me it's quite amazing how little wasted movement there was. Very little sliding, that car just hooked up & went. It's the car with 4wd, but mostly it's the driver & navigator.
