Ken's G35C gets SSR GT3's from Alex
Got these GT3's (3pc wheel) yesterday from Alex at the TireRack.
He helped me out tremendously along with his team getting out the order at the very last minute (passed their cut off) on Thurs. Had some issues with UPS, but managed to get them all yesterday... Tires are S03's in 245/35/19 and 275/35/19's. beautiful, aren't they? http://www.geocities.com/ken350gt/f.low2.jpg http://www.geocities.com/ken350gt/rear.dr.sm.jpg http://www.geocities.com/ken350gt/side.fr.sm.jpg |
Those look amazing. I have always loved the Gt3's and i always loved the G35s too....what a great combo
|
Damn....that's nice. Suits it perfectly.
I have a mean G35 going on NFS-Underground2. What's your thoughts on a rear spoiler for the lovely beast? I think even the stock ones that I've been seeing set it off just well. There's a silver one that's lowered with 3pc rims, with the stock spoiler and silver mirrored tint ripping around town all the time. Looks hot....because he's done all the right mods without getting too elaborate and tasteless to the point of where it looks outta place. Looking good. Keep it up. Cheers, |
RallyMINI- thank you for looking! I wish I had better photography talent
because it looks 10x better in person. Here's a link to a close up of the SSR. http://www.geocities.com/ken350gt/ss...ose.lowres.jpg MINI-MadMan - thank you! imho, the G35C's look best without a rear spoiler, but if you had wide wheels/tires to go with the car, like the silver one that you saw, it will have balance. I never liked the factory mud guards too as it (imo) distorted the lines...I took mine off and sold them. I like the very simple lines of the G. If I was to get a rear spoiler, I think i would get one that is very small...like a lip that goes on the tip of the trunk's edge. |

No spoiler. That is an especially clean looking G35 (unfortunate background in the photo though--try a fancy Oakbrook HQ or an alley in The Loop) and should not be despoiled!
What happens to the MCS? :eek2: |
I meant "spoiled" not "despoiled". Sorry.

What happens to the MCS? :eek2: yeah, it was the only place close enough that I could find where people weren't around. Also it's within the 5miles where I always re-torque my lugs after a wheel swap. Next time I think Im going to take picts behind a large building (last time I did that I guess I tripped a security system and cops came by telling me to get off private property... ooops). My MCS is her roommate. |
Damn that G35 looks hot.
|
IMO the G35 is one of the best looking cars i've seen from the past 30 or so years, and those wheels just make it look better. very nice ken
|
Nice car. Rims look great too
|
I've been trying to find a G35c 6spd for basically the last 2 weeks.
No luck. that is a great looking car! |
Kellzir, Wraith1416, maganoo - thank you! I wish had a better camera and more photography talent. I parked the car at our office yesterday
and was looking at her while sipping on some drink..dang, my pictures just doesn't do justice. thank you, meg! jinubob81- I think the 05's 6MT's are finally starting to roll out in the west coast. Nissan had some shortages in metal materials and there was a huge production delay. Hope you find one soon...imho, you should maybe find a 04' and get those Brembo's! although the 05's have a nicer more refined interior and a tad more hp while sacrificing torque. |
I ordered up a spare wheel 19x8.5 GT3 for the front just in case.
Thanks again, Alex, you da man! here's a pict from the rear. http://www.geocities.com/ken350gt/rear.jpg |
Woah just saw this thread.....Awesome look Kenchan! Big thumbs up!
|
<---- tis drooling big time!
I;ve always loved them G35C's. I LOVE the GT3 wheels on there. On a side note, what tire you running? BTW Time for some mods eh?  |
Thanks Ryephile!
Maximusmini - Thanks! Im running S03's. The car has some sus mods on it already. Im going to keep her with very simple lines. here's a link to my getto site. http://www.geocities.com/ken350gt/350GT.html |
back to stock for winter. :p
yeh, it's that time of year again for road salt...so swapped back my
factory 18's on. im running 15mm spacers up front and 5mm on the rear. http://www.geocities.com/ken350gt/G35C.11.19.05.JPG im planning to get some Volk's next year, probably TE37's or CE28N's (if Alex can get those in....) or just settle on the Weds...but Weds only have 18x9's, 18x10.5's... 9 is too wide for 225/45 imho, rear 265/40's will probably work fine, but there's only Mich Pilots in that size. i like to try to keep the front tire as narrow as possible on the sports setup. anyway.... still got time to think |
Nice car! I stopped at an Infiniti dealer last night and was looking at G35's since a G35 6MT Sedan is on my short list to consider for my next car I'm getting in 2006. As much as I don't care for the factory spoiler, I'd definitely be getting the Aero Package for the car if I got one since the spoiler is functional, not purely cosmetic like on so many other cars. Having 0 lift front and rear at 155 mph does sound appealing to me, although I'd save the triple digit speeds for when the wife and kids are not in the car.

Damn that's a good lookin' car - makes me unhappy that Nissan dosen't think Austrlalia is worthy of having it...
|
mineon- thanks! those sedans (especially the 05+) are really nice. they
did a great job improving the interior bits and also the AT's are actually pretty good too. It's got auto-rev matching on down shifts. well, if you're into MT's like me, the 6MT's are the right choice. the sedans look good with the factory body kit and spoiler. im just not a fan of the coupe spoilers. im not a fan of the new front bumper they're using on the coupes this year either... plus, i think they de-tuned the exhaust and no more of the nice purrr. i was driving my civic behind a 06' yesterday with my window open and it sounded like a damn Maxima or something! oh no!!! imho, the 2004.5's are the best coupes  (the one i have... got to have Brembo's and the nice exhaust note). tit- thanks. well, you have cool(?) Holdens over there... |
so, is there any relation to the G35 and the 350z?
i always wondered, but never knew.... |
The G35 is essentially a luxury oriented 350Z with a longer wheelbase (and longer overall) and four doors in the case of the sedan. Both the G35 and 350Z use basically the same engine and transmission and suspension.
-Keith |
Those 350Z's are fun to drive too, much more sports oriented but
not enough power to be considered a sports car. i'd do atleast a 55-60shot if I ever buy one... or go turbo. After getting this FMR platform Im kinda hesitant to buy any more FF's for weekend fun. My MCS is most-likely my last FF fun car since the next generation is bigger (which I don't like), and there's probably no other car that can out handle our MCS especially on street. I just prefer the FR's feedback through the turns and acceleration. next up will be FR or AWD. |
Sweet ride Kenchan. My G35 Coupe is the only car I've not wanted to replace after 2 years of driving it. Here's a shot of mine. Not a great pic, but a pic none the less.
