Metal Cold Cut Chop Saw on the cheap.

New bargain I'm really psyched about...

Home Hobbyist Metal Cold Cut Chop Saw for less than $120.00

I just put this package together last weekend and it's working perfectly, I've cut 1/8" x 3" flat stock, 2" x 1/16" wall box tubing, and 2 1/2" stainless exhaust pipe so far, absolutely "0" issues and no noticeable motor strain.

The secret is the Diablo CerMet metal cutting blades for the 7 ¼" circular saw.(they have a few versions, for steel and aluminum) Unlike large metal cold cut blades, which need slower RPM's to work, these blades are designed to cut at the faster RPM's used by wood cutting saws.

Here's the package:
(I was able to put this together for $100 including tax)
Any 7 ¼" mitre cutting chop saw, they range from $80 - $120 depending on your mfg choice.
(I actually found a Black-and-Decker on sale at at Wal-Mart.com for $65)
Then your choice of Diablo CerMet blade at Home Depot $30

Again, so far it works perfectly and none of the annoying abrasive chop saw smoke, sparks and heat.
And while a 14" would be nice, honestly... When do most hobbyist need too cut anything larger than 3" around (which this will do), along with the extra space required for that large of a saw and the price tag starting at $225 for entry level cold cut. Plus $85-90 for a 14" replacement blade compared to $30 for the 7¼", and both size blades last for the same amount of time/use.
