You are correct, many of those "redneck" cars are $100K+ I actually shot the pilot for this show and they were blown away with how fast my MINI was. What you've seen so far it TV, the redneck cars are faster than they have shown.

The saying "more than meets the eyes" is definitely at play here...either way its probably going to be a fun show for many.
IMO the tuner cars were suppose to be the lambs to the slaughter. There were two of us "tuners" that kinda threw a wrench in that for them. And they were totally shocked at how fast my MINI was, especially when I cleaned the floor with their 550HP Camaro. There "rednecks" have all done their fair share of driving, many of the "Tuners" you see have very little to no track experience. I had a lot of fun shooting the show.

Really Way ??? ..... Were they also filming at Road Atlanta when the Orange Mini went into the wall? Did nobody get that on film either, oh darn world champion.
Do you really expect people to believe you were so fast they edited you out of the show and then they had to changed the format for tv, so no one will ever see you.

Sorry I don't have pics or video. And I wish I had video of the Orange car hitting the wall at Road Atlanta, that had nothing to do with the TV Show.
I never said I was so fast they edited me out of the show. I said we shot the pilot. The pilot was just that a test pilot for the show. They changed the format to make it better for TV. In the pilot the "Tuners" ran against each other first, then the winning "tuners" became a team and competed against the "Rednecks". It didn't work well because we didn't know each other like the "redneck" group so the banter back and forth was not what they wanted.
And YES I did wax some major "Redneck" butt, Only one of their drivers was faster than I was. And his car made 670hp at the rear wheels, and he could drive, so I have nothing to be ashamed of.

I'll try and stay up late for the show - it is pretty entertaining, which frankly I didn't expect. Hokey, but some amusing on track action...
Pretty much the epitome of smack talk...

Way, if your car is street-legal, we would be very interested in seeing it at one of our qualifying events.
We shot the pilot episode which was suppose to be the first episode, but they changed the format for TV. So I'm not in an episode, but you may see me in a clip or something.

That was fun to watch. She did well.
I like the next episode (which I have already seen).
I spent a few years racing with Todd Reid in the Honda Challenge series.

Yancy clearly made a mistake and let his emotions get the best of him.
Does anyone know why they are only using the west part of CMP? Too long of straights to be so unfair with the super powerful built "muscle" cars or too technical for the challenging drivers, since I'm sure the base guys there are familiar with the course. It's a pretty technical track mainly due to being a very flat track except for one turn on the east side just before you cross a little bridge. Just curious
I enjoyed seeing the Mini part of the show.
From my perspective it looked like the truck gave the Mini the advantage early in the final $10,000 challenge. The Mini had the inside and held good lines for the most part but it looked like the Mini "pushed" and went wide (possibly due to a bad down shift) and the truck setup for the pass. It looked like they teased the Mini and then went for the kill. The entire thing looked like entertainment for the sake of entertainment like US Top Gear.
It was no surprise that the Mini would be faster than the drifter because the drifter scrubbed off all kinds of time looking good for the camera. The Mini part was fun and the driver presented well. I have respect for her. I will not go out of my to watch this show but if it happens to be on when I am flipping channels I may watch it if the challenge cars are interesting.
