High school kids and honda civic's
 

So I pull up to a light today and have two high school kids in a civic laughing at me because I drive a girly "gay" car. Now this Civic has the standard coffee can exhaust on it and a set of rims. It looked like it had a different front bumper on it but it wasn't painted well. It was a shade off of the silver the actual car was. So the kids start running there mouths after I just laughed at them. The light changed I jumped right off the line and left the kids sitting there. We get to the next light and they are still running there mouths. I rev my MINI all the way up and let the BOV make a nice loud sound. Still they are running there mouths. I just say than prove your car can beat mine. Well I launch off the line and leave them way behind.

Now I'm not knocking Civic's I'm knocking the fact that every high school kid thinks he has a Fast and Furious car. And the fact that the exhaust most of them put on the car is so annoying.

Anyone else have thought on this.

I concur.

A) Civic's, by design, have zero acceleration so unless you rip out the engine and replace it, a Civic's driver is going to take their sweet time getting to their destination. My mother has a Civic. I speak from experience.

B) High school students are annoying and reckless. Since I've only been out of high school for 4 years, I speak yet again from experience. Also, college students whose parents have let them get away with murder are just as bad if not worse.

C) Those exhausts are awful and should be destroyed. Oh, and they look hilarious because they are so mismatched to the car that they are on.

I'm glad that you gave them a lesson in automotive courtesy. They're probably just jealous:)

Some kids in a Civic laugh at you so you rev your MINI and instigate a race with them? :sad:

Seems like instead of taking the high ground you lowered yourself to their level. Why bother to encourage their behavior?

Do you really care what a couple of fools in a Honda think of your MINI? :confused:

Having owned an 02 civic I can tell you they are not fast by any means. I had a magnaflow exhaust on mine and it didn't sound bad. most of them do sound horrible. It was a great car with good looks but no power. Even the SI's don't have much. The new si is quick but still has a hard time keeping up with the mini. I know from experience:nod:

Your actions as you described them don't show you as thinking of it any differently.:roll:
