these are great cars for what they are. The engine has such a beautiful sound. Now if I can talk her into the RISS Racing exhaust and Helix FMIC.... but I don't think that is going to happen.....LOL

It must have run terribly beforehand or been seriously de-tuned from the factory for you to pull 60hp and 60ft-lbs out of just a tune.

20% increase in torque and HP from just a tune? SaWeet!
Can it handle falling back to 87 octane in a pinch anymore though - or would that be suicide. That's my biggest fear with re-tuning FI cars... That and killing the service and maintenance contracts the BMW's come with - or can you save and re-load the stock tune when you take it in for service? I SOOOOOO plan on moving to a 135i Convertible when I sell the 350Z in a year or so. There should be some nice ones off lease by then. I test drove the automatice last week and the trans does shift pretty responsively, but I kinda think I still will need a clutch to really enjoy such a car. |
