Cars and Coffee May 10th 2008 From Irvine, CA

It was damp and overcast this morning as I headed out to Irvine, perfect weather for an informal British Car gathering.

This week, we are trying something new, rather than a chronological journey, this week we are hopping all over the timeline, DrWho Style and attempting to catagorise as we go.

All of the junk that was impossible is right at the end...

Good. because Don now needs to see if he can keep it up !

Actually all I did was make a list on paper of the images for each 'catagory'

Hot Rods and Low Riders

Vintage

70's and Muscle Cars

Sports Cars

Bikes

Odd / Interesting stuff

and as I worked through I jotted the number down.



Then my trusty Excel spreadsheet converted the image numbers into their locations and gave me the image tags




Finally using notepad to strip out the non-printable spaces and stuff and the bulk of my side was done.

A Quick back-and-forth with Don and the addition of the pre-post ambles and it was ready.

The bulk of the time is always the upload and the pairing down of the images.....

Easy huh ?????

 

I see MG was properly represented, on jack stands with it's owner underneath! Sweet John Player Lotus Esprit and as always- top marks Max.

 

Max did all the work on this one. I use an 8x10 sheet of printer paper and write the numbers down as I view. If I like it, it makes it for the weekly photos.

I will keep the new format in mind, but......

Anyway, I put some images up in the album of my C&C May 10 pictures.

I tend to like cars, kids, dogs and people, not necessarily in that order.

Some of the regulars may know that my newest Grandson was born at 7:31AM on May 10, while I was at C&C taking pictures. It makes this event extra special.

 

Ah brings back 30 yr old memories of laying under the AH 100-6 beating on the starter with the lead hammer whilst the wife unit pushed the starter . . .

I say this tongue in cheeck but, British car show and only 3 classic Minis?
