Wife's 2001 325i won't start.

I tried jumping the battery but didn't help.
What could it be?

Bad starter armature? Does it click when you turn the key? Roll it forward or back a few feet and try again.

It worked! Thanks!
I drove around for 30 minutes and turned the car off and restarted and it worked fine.
Should I get the starter replaced?

Yes. There is a dead area in the windings on the starter. Whenever it stops in that area you won't be able to start the car. Over time it will get worse.

The car doesn't start again this morning. The battery hole is green. But I will get the battery replaced and see how it goes.
Thanks.
