Didn't like the look of the front end on that silver coupe. Hopefully will look better in person.

Is there a quick explanation/tutorial for how to change the colour of a car in Photoshop like that? I have Photoshop CS2, and I'm slowly getting more proficient, but any time I try to replace one colour with another, it never seems to work with the highlights and shadows.

Basically, I can replace *one single colour* with another single colour, but I can't figure out how to get it to replace the *various shades* of the first colour with corresponding shades of the second colour, throughout the image.

I added a layer hit "Q" to go into quick mask, grabbed the paint brsh and blocked off the window lights wheels etc, the hit Q again the rest of the image was selected and I just slid the hue around.

Not quite the skills of being able to swap wheels lower it etc but give some basic idea.
