Mavericks September Run (aka Nikki Run #10)
Its out there... trust me. Too many MINIs on the road now for me to tell if I know any of you guys though. Usually 80-90 year old asian ladies lollygagging around in the fast lane with their giant sun visors over their face
Guess I'll have to show up to see my MTTS buddies again!
Did you SEE how I got dissed in Motor Trend??
Some people don't seem to understand that geezers just wanna have fun!
PS: Bring on the Bimmers and Loti. (Big smile with wolf teeth showing)
Cheers,
Sid

Tru dat!
The only problem I have is, if I get them, then I don't want to follow through. The thrill for me is in the chase and counting coup. Kinda like on the track.
"Counting coup meant rushing up to an enemy, usually on horseback, and simply touching him with your hand or with a coup stick. In essence, the warrior was stating, "I could have killed you, but I did not, and there was nothing you could do to stop me!" A coup showed disdain for the enemy as not being worthy of killing. To die in battle was the ultimate honor, so it was a huge disgrace to be merely touched in battle.
Since the eagle is the spirit closest to the creator, eagle feathers were sacred to the American Indians. Any warrior could possess an eagle feather, but he could only wear an eagle feather after he had earned a verified coup during battle. Thus wearing an eagle feather was a great honor and commanded respect amongst other warriors. The more coups a warrior earned the more eagle feathers the warrior could wear. Thus, when a warrior earned many coups, his fellow warriors would donate eagle feathers to create a head dress of eagle feathers that signified the warrior’s coups, and they would give the head dress to the warrior to signify their honoring"
At the track we award the FMOTD (Fastest MINI of the Day) Thunderhill cap because eagle feathers are so hard to find these days. We'll add an eagle feather for each repeat, though, 'cause that's really special.

What I need to know is can one be a member of the "Peter Pan never wanna grow up Club" and still be a geezer?

Not this time ... I'll be traveling to Red Bluff to check out a '63 Ford for my son (OK - it's really for me, since he is only 15).
Hope you guys have fun.
Keep at least 3-wheels on the asphalt!

Freaky scary as in not broken in, or as in not the same grip as the Avons you were running?

cleaning asphalt bits from the hatch/bumper/rims, not fun
