San Francisco Service/Oil Change/Mechanic

So, appears to be a given that the quick oil change centers are a risky proposition.

Failing that, if you want/need to get your oil change/services done in San Francisco - any suggestions?

I assume BMW SF is good, although for routine oil changes I'm not sure I want to pay their prices, deal with their waits, or not be able to get a service on the weekend.

Thanks, in advance, for any hints.

Cheers,
Chris

Remember that you get free oil changes from the dealer during the 3 year warranty period.

For general service on MINI (both maintenance and mod installation), I can recommend Bay Bridge Motors in Oakland, just on the other end of the Bay Bridge: http://baybridgemotors.com/

Glad I stopped by = because no, I didn't realize warranty oil changes are free. Bonus! Thanks RKW!

They're free if the service interval indicator is close to zero

Actually, oil changes are free every 12 months regardless what the computer says. When you do go in for the scheduled service (per the computer) they will change your oil again (even if it has only been 2 months)

Again, you must still be under warranty.

MINI spoils you Americans, not only do we pay more for our MINI's up here, but I had to negotiate FREE maintenance for 3 years out my dealer. It was not standard.

I have my car Serviced at Midas. They follow the FSM and it doesn't void your warranty.
