We just made our reservations.
We went last year, but not with the pack though. I'm not sure how many went form Norcal last year, I think it was like 20 MINIs. We should go down there in a pack of say........100 or so this time??

Lyle and whoever else is interested, it's not ending in Vegas for the wifey and I. We'll be continuing on to Zion, Bryce Canyon and ending up in Salt Lake City for the first time. Just fyi.

I had a great time last year - looking forward to it this year.
Last year I had to wait until after work, on Friday, before I drove down. It was a lonely drive without seeing another MINI.
On the way back I met another bay area MINI just before getting on 5. It was fun driving back with someone.
It would be great driving down with a group - using 2-way radios.

 

Yes, be sure to take the 2-way radios.

We made our "tower" room reservations yesterday. So there will be at least 2 cars from Redwood Empire Mini Enthusiasts.

If you go as far as Bryce Canyon, you should hit the north rim of the Grand Canyon too... I think its 2-3 hours from Bryce.

 

Zied, when are you and yours heading down there?

 

Hiya, Northerners! I booked a Tower Room, too! I like the idea of heading on to Zion and Bryce....hmmmm.....got me thinking! Last year's event was fun and there are plenty of gorgeous photo-ops out in the hinterlands!

If I remember correctly a large number of UT MINI's made it to last years MVIV. You might be able to hook up with them.

Good question... being that we will have 2 cars and 2 kids, I think we will try to start our drive Wednesday mid-afternoon like 3pm. We'll pick up the kids from school and drive around 4 hours south... maybe Modesto or Fresno area... but I don't know for sure right now. I will have a better idea when it gets a little closer.

 

Lets see Vegas in March...my wifes birthday in March. This just might work Now I just need to twist her arm just a little bit

 

Just say, "Honey, I got you a great birthday gift, Three days in Vegas. Isn't that a great gift!!"

OR, you could say, "I'm taking you out to dinner at a special place so get in the car and close your eyes and don't open them until we're there."
