As the title says I'm looking for MINI owners in or near:

Sturbridge, MA
Rockland, ME
Bar Harbor, ME

I'm one of the co-organizers for The GREAT Ice Cream Run (http://thegreaticecreamrun.com). For those not familiar with it, it's a 7-day MINI run from Florida to Maine on a quest to find some of the best local ice cream shops on the east coast. We're also raising money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation along the way.

I'm specifically looking for owners in or near the towns listed above, who have local knowledge of a good ice cream shop (preferably NOT a chain store) that we can use as our big evening meeting point. We've got sites and volunteers set for our stops in Savannah, GA, Staunton, VA and Frackville, PA but the other towns are still up for grabs.

If you're not willing to volunteer but at least know of a good location, I'd still like to hear from you. Please either post here or send me a PM.

SunnyDaze in my hometown of Stamford, CT is good. A mile and a half off of I-95 exit 7...

 

There's a MINI owner (ElliottRandolph) west of Boston that has an ice cream place that does fabulous flavoured soft serve - in an ex railway station. But it's not so close to Sturbridge ...

 

Mistro, thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, Stamford is WAY off our route. We pass through CT on I-84.

Will you be taking I-77 north when you go to Statesville.

 

Yep. Each day's drive will offer a highway route and a more back roads "alternate" route. Our highway route will bring us into Statesville on I-77.
