***UPDATE***
NOTICE: WE ARE GATHERING AT THE OLD BANK BUILDING NEXT TO MARCUS DAIRY.

Just talked with the people over at Marcus. Yeah. Mingling with the bikers is crazy crazy, but the building right next door has a large lot never used. We can use that. This way Motorers can readily make use of Marcus Dairy's convenience before our epic journey. No epic long walk to get there.

DIRECTIONS: Off 84 Mall Ramp, right at light, and right at next. Take a right into driveway before Marcus Dairy. Park in rear.

********
A lot of motoring.

Local paper, front page headline: "Town wants to fix dangerous road curves". Large full color map marking all twelve of them. Coulda just said "Mini Meet".

So I've already started plotting the course - twisties I've never been on before in my 5 years here. Plus some nice mountain roads for dessert. Dinner? I figure 10 am start and 1:00 brunch. Then another leg and maybe dinner?

See this thread as well for info as it develops: http://mini2.com/forum/showthread.ph...threadid=27137

Update:

Current schedule. (On page 4 of thread linked above)

9:30 THE OLD BANK BUILDING NEXT TO MARCUS DAIRY in Danbury. Just off the Interstate 84 mall exit.

10:00 depart for New Milford via Backroads.

11:00 hit candlelight airport for photos

12:30 Candlewood Lake for lunch. Down the Hatch.

1:30 roundabout route to Lake Waramaug

2:30 mega run from Warmaug to NW CT to Duchess County for the return south to Rte 37 and New Milford proper for dinner and closing. Free hors d'oeuvre at The North Country Inn! 1/2 hour from danbury, 1 1/2 from Manhattan. Intersection rtes 67, 7, and 202.

Cooperspeed. Are you talking about JUNE 14th? Because if your last exam is May 14th, I am somehow failing to see why you can't make a meet on the 18th.... Unless you really need to catch up on sleep, of course. But are exams really that hard?????

Would be great to have you with us...

I am so thrilled you will be attending, Lori!

Didn't get a chance to even say hello last go 'round.

And hey, don't worry, I didn't invite the troopers.

Wow, this is a really cool idea! I grew up in Litchfield (now in Boston), and am very familiar with some of these roads from my high school bicycle touring days. One of my oldest, best friends is graduating from UCONN law school on the 18th, and I'll definitely be there for it (West Hartford), but I don't know what time it's at yet. Is 10 AM still the start time for this? If so, I might just be able to make it, and I would love to!

Chris, et al,

Funny how small the world is. One of my girlfriends good friends is also graduating from UNCON law this weekend. We're going to her party on the border of West Hartford/Farmington/New Brittan (gf's family live in New Brittan) So we were planning to be down there that weekend as well! Count us in!

Might even have the Borla and intake installed before then!

Its about damn time somebody set up a run in CT! I just hope the weather is not at all like today, or that would be a major pisser. Hope I can make it! Anyone interested in doing another run in late May/early June in eastern CT? Depending on response, maybe I can try and set something up.

Chris,
You name the date and - provided it's a sunday - I'll be there.

Got to go eat dinner and hop back on the road for some awesome spring nighttime motoring. What kind of weather did you get? Turned out gorgeous here.

Only an hour?!
I live in north of Boston, about THREE hours away. Should we move it to 12?

Maybe I need to be less confusing. The meet's on the18th of may. I was simply curious about how exams ending on the 14th of any month would preclude rallying the 18th of any other. That, I believe, is exactly what I meant. Thanks for the exercise, though. I'll try to be more clear in the future.

Good luck on exams and get yer a$$ to CT! Sorry to mislead you in crunch time.

Well, how much is too much?
New Milford is about as far from Providence as you can get, and still be in Connecticut! Over on the New York border area, north of Danbury..
