First Time Attack Event in NJ ** Cash Prize **

Event and Registration page at:https://www.urbanracer.com/formulax/

Car Show, Time Attack, and Club activities join star studded Sept 13-14 motorsports weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park

Timed in conjunction with the opening of New Jersey Motorsports Park - the first all-new, world-class Motorsports facility to open in the northeast in decades, organizers have added an all-star lineup of events for tuning enthusiasts at the Formula X event, September 13-14.

The lineup includes a giant import and domestic car show, with pending sanctioning and points accreditation by NCCA; a Red Line-sanctioned Time Attack competition featuring almost $10,000 in payouts and contingencies; and available track time for invited car clubs on NJMP’s challenging 14-turn, 2.25 mile Thunderbolt course.

In addition, spectators and participants will also be treated to front seat racing by the top national drivers in both the Atlantic Championship and Star Mazda series – two of the nation’s premier open wheel development series. Atlantic Championship race cars are considered the last step for developing racers before moving onto a Indy or even Formula One ride. The state-of-the-art carbon chassis Atlantics feature 2.3 L Mazda-Cosworth four-cylinder engines cranking out 300 naturally-aspirated horsepower. As another member of Mazda’s unparalleled Motorsports development ladder, Star Mazda also features Mazda motivation – in fact, the same 240 hp Renesis Rotary engine found in the Mazda RX-8 sports car.l

The import and domestic car show will offer over four-dozen trophies up for grabs, as well as cash prizes totaling $3,000. NCCA points accreditation and sanctioning will mean that NCCA competitors will be able to score points toward year-end NCCA championships.

The Formula X Challenge Time Attack sanctioned by Red Line will feature both a Modified and an UrbanRacer.Com Street category for FWD, RWD, and AWD competitors. Each Modified category competitor will have a chance to win a $1,500 category payout. Likewise, each UrbanRacer.Com Street category competitor will have a shot at winning a $1,000 category prize. In addition, thanks to Mazda sponsorship, Mazda-based category winners will earn an extra $1,000 check. The category specifications and all competitor rules will follow Red Line Time Attack guidelines.

Located just 45 miles from Philadelphia, 45 miles from Atlantic City, NJ, and 161 miles from Washington, D.C., New Jersey Motorsports Park is the long awaited world class racing facility the northeast has been looking for. NJMP is comprised of two separate race courses, a go kart track, a Motorsports country club, and even trackside Motorsports villas. After a busy year in construction, NJMP officially opened in July of this year.

Spectator tickets for the event are already on sale at njmp.com with three-day passes at $25 and single day admission at $15. Kids under 12 are admitted for free. Purchase spectator admissions at www.njmp.com

Sunday only car show tickets will be available for $40 online as well as $45 at the gate on the day of the event. Register for Car Show atwww.urbanracer.com/formulax

Due to limited space, Time Attack participants are asked to pre-register online as well. The Formula X Challenge Time Attack registration fee is $400 for Modified Categories and $250 for Street Categories. Register for Time Attack at www.urbanracer.com/formulax
