Renaissance Fair Meet & Rally - Sunday, September 7th
I'd like to thank tontobird (Michelle) and dkstone (Trevor) for making the rally immediately following the Ren Faire a very enjoyable one.
Those who got there late, I apologize for the high volume of cars entering each of the 4 parking lots...there was some screwup that the "locals" directing the flow of parking can be held responsible for.
FYI: I'm not into that Ren Faire crowd (my g/f kinda likes it), but the cans on some of those wenches were unbelievable!
To recap: On this lovely, bright Fall September Sunday, we met near Sterling Forest, and made our way up towards Warwick and Florida, NY. Very nice winding roads up and down hills were par for the course today, as were the occassional barns and vast fields. We did make it up near Goshen, Monroe, and stopped in Chester, where my g/f was bombarded with questions like, "What are those cars?...I thought they were only made for that movie!". We did find our way around a very narrow Route 210 that surrounds Greenwood Lake, and finally ended our day.
I hope that maybe in a month or so, there will be another rally...Thanks again!

>>Ok, was it me (and Jacob) who was there, all alone, surrounded by weird guys and women with their breasts hanging out, looking for other MINIs?

I made and hooked up with Tontobird and Italianjobmini, got to the fair about 1:30 pm we went driving about 3:pm and quit about 5:30pm. We had a good time thanks Tontobird and Italianjobmini. I then took the real twisty road back home to LI: 106 thru hariman state park then 202 over Bear mountain down 9W to 287 to the Hutch, and guess where I got stuck due to an accident, on the cross Island took me more than an hour from ther home.
Verdict on the JCW upgrade just sweet

ok, maybe next time we can pick an exact time, and an exact location for a hook up? And, lets avoid places with 5000 other cars.
I asked 3 parking attendants, who hadn't seen any MINI's, only those "damned PT Cruisers".
I usually drive the Harriman roads. I'd have loved to go north to Wariwck area.
