I want to go, but I have a lot to do tomorrow. I definitely don't have 5 hours. I realistically have about 2............ 1.5 to get there, 2 to participate, 1.5 to get back........hmmmm.

Amanda, Nice Sig, I read that book to my son Max every night from the time my wife was three months pregnant, he's almost four now and it's still his favorite bedtime story.

Anthony my friend, I can't make it today, I wish you good luck and godspeed, keep your MINI wheel side down (unless you're catching air) and I'll be seeing you around here, my company's conference is in Orlando next june and I may drive down from CT. I'll pay you a visit then if I do.

Well, guys and gals - good meeting and seeing everyone today. A great chain of runs on great (mostly) roads in great weather. I'll certainly remember this day - with my demented dime and quarter - I'm not "cut in half" and I live to pick them up off the tracks!

Nomo - here's the link to the place that sells those tail lamps:
    http://www.ctd-germany.com/
Your cost will actually be less than what's listed on the site because they remove the 16% euro sales tax that's built in.

Koolmini - I nearly had indigestion when that cop with Ka came barreling with lights and siren behind us shortly after we turned out of Annie's. After he passed me, I was thinking - it can't happen to YOU twice in 1 day!

...and now time to hit Shut-Down for the day...
    peace - gangstas

sorry we missed you, X2. Woulda been your kinda fun and we woulda appreciated your laughter in many places - cuz it were FUNNY!@!!!

We hit 218 behind Uptick and then behind Ants on the back swing. One of them had the fortune of being without the malibu in front of him.... What a blast!!!!!! Then Kools met up with us and he toured us the bear mtn right way! Gdm that area is chock fulla curves!!!!! and westchester was none to shabby when ants shows the way. surprise surprise.

We went through tuxedo so the ren fair is where it's at weekend after next.

What a bunch of gangstas!!! Was awesome hanging out with all of you at every breather stop. Yeah. we ate a lot, too. Mexican and Italian for dinner. Whew! Some MDX was playin with me on the way home on the TSP. I was like, really?

Ask Koolmini how his double clutching is. I don't think anyone mentioned how one has to rev a good bit when in neutral before engaging the lower gear (downshifting). About 500 rpm between gears (rather convenient) when up or down shifting. Except 1st gear-Gotta ad like 1,500 for that one.

Cheers guys and look forward to the next time i meet up with each and every one of you.

G, you got home before me! I was no closer at our dinner location, just situated differently, still two hours away.

What fun, Michelle!! You more than kept up with us! I bet your MINI loved it. Did you say thanks to each other when you got home?

As for my speedy trip home, well. I was amazed i caught my exit on the taconic. It's county route 9, but the damned signs only use street names. LAST time i had to take 55, since that was a state route and was signed accordingly. yeah.

I am genuinely suprised we've heard not a peep from kim and chris - who left early. and mike????

It was a fun meet even though I was a passenger. But you know the twisties are good when you have to hold on with both hands and the tires are screeching!
Hope to see you all again soon and maybe next time I will bring my MINI.

Oh, Koolmini how is the "MINI Lexus SUV"???

hehe.....this peeper met Tammie at the bar on the way home. 1 drink and I was sleeeeepy!!!! I think I was in bed by 10:30 (OMG!!!).

My MINI and I had lotsa fun yesterday, but she was groanin' and creakin' and rattlin' all the way home. Hmmm, maybe I pushed my lowered little one a bit too hard on those bumpy roads.

It was great to meet some of you for the first time: Megan, Mike, and Amanda.

And it's always good to hang out with the usual suspects.

Anthony, I hope you enjoyed your fare-thee-well drive, despite the chunk of windshield you left behind at Bear Mtn. OUCH!!! I wish you much happiness in Florida. You need to show those folks down there what a MINI meet is really about.

    Cheers,
    Kim

Had an awesome time everyone! Drifting those turns with all four tires squealing! Was amazing. Was great seeing everyone as usual. HARMINI, NoMo, GMINI, CSpeed, Uptick, Grizzy, Kool, Maganoo and Tonto you guys rock! I cant imagine a better MINI crew than the NY one. I mean where else am I gunna be able to watch Koolmini get into a fight with trainspotters? Oh and the look on that cops face was PRICELESS! So was the one on that bikers face who I came barreling down on! Thanks again everyone. I am gunna miss these roads and you guys! Hopefully I will see some of you at the Renn Faire and Limerock before I leave. Oh and Koolmini, you are my new personal hero...watching you cut that chevy off who was holding us up and then smoking your tires in front of him was hysterical. That has to be the best thing Ive seen at a meet to date.

Yeah that was alot of fun and I never knew the car could handle like that.
Yeah I got home pretty quick (45 mins) crashed for 30 mins then drove around my area OBEYING POSTED signs then washed the little bugger from bugs, dirt, rocks, bicycle parts, and other unknown substances (like the blob inside Ants lights).
It was nice meeting everyone and was ahappy that it was a diverse crowd with one interest to drive F'in fast!!!! Good luck in Florida-- Alligator Alley is a fast flat run but no twisties

    cheers,
    Mike1
