Anything happening in Providence 6/2-6/4?

I'm going to be in Rhode Island for work the 1st week in June. I get emails occasionally from people coming to Vegas, wanting to know if there are any MINI events scheduled during their visit, so I figured it's my turn.
I'm staying at the Renaissance Providence Hotel and should have the evenings of Monday 6/2 through Wednesday 6/4 open. No car though.

Hey, Agro! Most of the New England activity happens on massmotoringclub.com (which, despite the name, caters more to the region than just Massachusetts) and the NY/NE region forum on MINI2. Things have been pretty slow 'round these parts, lately, however, and I don't see anything on any of our calendars for those dates. If it weren't during the week, I'd come down and join you for a drink, but Providence is nearly two hours from here. :(

Things start picking up later in the month, of course... ;)

HHFD633, I've never been to RI before, so I have little idea of what to see. I was thinking maybe some food, a couple of quiet local brewed ales, maybe some touristy stuff...don't want to be a nuisance, but meeting new people can be fun. And it beats sitting in my hotel room watching tv, or drinking by myself.

there are a few places in providence where we can go for just the thing or maybe newport hmmmmm. Lets see what we can come up with.

Chris, count me in on anything you are thinking for Argo. I'm game and only 15-minutes from the city.

Agro, it was great to meet you yesterday. I hope we didn’t over stuff you with the all that fried seafood and doughboys! If you are ever out this way again I will need to make sure I don’t need to work the next morning. Sorry about the lame bar on the way back from dinner. They changed it a around a bit and if I had a bit more time we could have hit a better place in the city. Otherwise it was great to meet you and connect with a fellow Mini enthusiast from the western part of the great land!!

Thanks to you both for the hospitality. Sorry about the delay on this response, but today is the 1st time I've had a chance to log onto NAM since before I left for RI.
It was fun even though the last bar was a bit of a bust. Mmmm...fried stuff....
Let me know if/when you head in the Vegas direction and I'll return the favor.
