I was also on the FX sites. And still have my 2017 FX-35 with 227K on it and is sill running great. It’s my daily driver. I was considering upgrading but it’s hard to get rid of a good running car. My friend has a 17’ Nissan truck with 505K and it’s also running great.
Currently my fun car is a 09’ R56 JCW with quite a few mods. Always ready for a run.
Or meet.

Hey phil, i remember you (or at least your handle). Perhaps we may have met before at one of the tristate meets or hanging out at turbocad's shop back in the day.

Pretty funny with the overlap of mini/fx owners. Guess we have similar tastes

Here's a pic of my current car when i'm not driving the subaru, if we ever run into each other. Fairly stock... with some chrome blacked out and PIAA driving lights.

I use to go to the meets. And the BBQ’s on LI. I’m now looking to meet up with mini enthusiasts the do mods. My goal is 300hp from what people have told me is I’m at roughly 250 - 260 now but I won’t believe it until I get it dynoed. Talk soon...

Dang it Manny, didn't even see you!

I was looking for folks to play with a bit more in the corners.

I was the one who popped off my hot side boost tube.

Running 22.xpsi of boost and I guess I did not tighten the clamps down enough made for an exciting pit stop.

Ah, on Storm King? After the BBQ joint I recall overhearing another participant with car trouble and he didn't look like you. Maybe it was a different issue.

I would’ve loved to run with you guys. But I don’t take the car out in the rain. A while back I went on a run with the driving force club and was able to keep up. But I must say these guys are incredibly fast. All exotics, most cars over $300K and they couldn’t believe I could keep up. Some roads I’ve been on most I haven’t. I had a great time!!

They say a measure of a driver's skills is how they handle things in the wet, but I understand as folks treat their vehicles differently. Mine is a daily driver and it still shines up nice, so it is what it is. It's interesting how one can perceive something or someone as being "fast" and the next person could think it is otherwise......I guess we'll have to find out when you come out to play some time. Looking forward to it on the next NEMINI run!

Yup, MINI drivers tend to help others...if I knew about it I would have whipped out my tools too.

Great choice in pads and fluid!

A couple of the nyMINIons faster guys want to do a faster run. Like we did this past spring, but before the weather gets too cold for the tires.

Keeping the group smaller or keeping the faster guys. What do you think?

I live for those sort of runs. Send me a PM here (the chat for NYMINIons was too much for me), heck I'll even put together a route if anyone is interested. Just tell me how many miles folks are comfy doing in a day.

We have quite a few guys from All the Boros. On Friday nights (sorry I didn’t post sooner) we meet up at McD’s off of Maurice Ave (not just Minis) around midnight and see the super modified/Tuned cars and sometimes they race.

When the weather is nicer and weather permits the NEMinis meet up and do a Hudson Valley/Bear Mountain Run

Hey gang,

I just bought my mini R60 s all 4 in August. I freaking love this car!!!! Anyway, I live in the Bronx and can’t seem to find a good mechanic (seems like they all are located in Brooklyn) any suggestions, and is there any fellow owners in the Bronx? Currently, I installed the forge BOV, and a K&N. I’m about to send out my ECU for a manic tune and just got my NM exhaust and downpipe waiting for installation. #winning. Be great to chat it up in this group. Cheers!!!!!

Hi Drew I’m located in Westchester most good mechanics should be able to WK on a mini.
I can recommend DAVID SOMMA MINI MECHANIC- 914-960-7273. He just did a performance clutch on my R56.
