I was just in NY. Went to Bayshore, Comack and stayed with my cusion in the Hamptons. Stopped by the MINI dealer in the Hamptons and tried to talk MINIs with the two mourons that where in the dealership. What a bunch of idiots out there. I wanted to just sit and look at some MINIs but these two jerks were so rude I just left. Went into the city and saw a few MINIs running around. Sure did miss mine at the time. I just love the city and will make another trip in the MINI someday. You all in NY are so lucky. What a cool place.

No offense but their job as salesmen is to sell cars. People who want to just come in and chat are taking away from work they have to do. I am sure you wouldnt appreciate someone coming in and trying to talk to you about stuff when you had work to get done at your job. There is a time and place for everything. Talking about MINIs....thats what MINI meets are for and many dealerships represent themselves at those meets specifically for that purpose.

So now it's 7 am at the Park, on mini2 it says 7:30. Just want to clear it up so I don't miss out. Does anyone know the exact planned route from there? Are we taking the Whitestone to the Hutch or another way?

Okay, 7am at the central green in Litchfield, CT. If anyone wants to tool up together from Newtown, CT let me know, I will be leaving at 6:30AM Sharp!
We could line up next to the flagpole headed north.

No, I meant 7am at the stop here on Long Island. I know it's a park off exit 36 of the LIE, I am just trying to get the right time.

Dig. This thread's about meeting at the Park in LI real early to make it to Litchfield in time.

Hank, Join us at Sticks and Stones Farm in Newtown, Just South of the Stop & Shop on Huntingtown Rd after Meadowbrook, where MINIs are already converging. Or we could meet you at the flagpole. I just ran a mean route from there to the High School that every MINI will love. Did you know Hanover Rd is torn up good? Bumber.

Antsmini. Screw the MAll. Sticks & Stones!!! Exit 10 off I-84.

Forgot to time it. Will run it again. 40 minutes?
We'll be leaving Newtown at 8:50am with that questionable timing.

Sticks and Stones Farm 199 Huntingtown Road.

Directions:

Get off 84 at 9 , 10 or 11 and go to 25 south.

About 5 miles past the flagpole
You'll come to a stripmall with a Super Stop and Shop and after that a
Mobil station on your right. Take a right at the first light south of
the Mobil station onto Meadowbrook Road.

At the end of Meadowbrook, turn left onto Huntingtown Road

About a mile and a half you'll see Maltbi Ave (signed) on the right.
Our driveway is the next left (between two tall stones).

I will be at the park on LI at 7am. I think that from there the best way to go would be LIE to cross island north. Take that to the Whitestone bridge. After the Whitestone we would get on the Hutchinson river parkway north. From the Hutch we can get on 684 North and that will take us to 84 east. From there we could meet up with the MINI's meeting at Sticks and Stones since it's off 84. From there we can follow the directions posted on the original meet sight. Let me know what you all think. I took this route about 3 weeks ago on a Sunday morning and hit no traffic.
I was getting extremely confused with all these other meeting places so I figured it would be good to post a possible route. If anyone has any other route suggestions please post them.
Sorry to all you guys but us women can't depend on you to ask for directions

I think that we shuld get a head count for those meeting at Christopher Morely Park so that we don't leave anyone behind. Also I hope eveyone has EZ pass so we don't have to stop and wait at the tolls.

If you folks coming from LI want breakfast at the Farm, it would be easiest for you to take the Hutchinson River Parkway to the Merritt Parkway to exit 42.

Turn left at the end of the ramp then left again onto 136 north.

Stay straight at every intersection for about 12 miles (136 turns into 59 along the way)until the very end of 59.

Just before you reach the intersection of 59 and 25, turn left onto Hattertown Road.

Turn right at third stopsign onto Huntingtown Road

Sticks and Stones Farm is the second driveway on the right (it's also the third, fourth and fifth driveway incase you miss it)

This is a beautiful ride!

As far as I can tell you most certainly WILL have time to grab a bite, down a cup. That's in case Ice doesn't get around to answering you. Nothing wrong with taking advantage of a deserted highway and enjoying your joe at your own leisure becuase you did. We're talking about a splendid breakfast setting. I'll be there by 8:10. Cockle-dockle-doooo!

Ah, the Hutch and the Merritt... I envy you your approach route to this meet. So much more enjoyable than the Mass Pike and I-84. But then again, I'm going down tonight, and my parents live a mile and a half from the high school, so I'll be sleeping until at least 8:30!
