I am planning a rally to Watkins Glen on Friday June 20th. I am going to watch the Grand Am series race @ 4:30 Friday afternoon. My company Grafik Dezine sponsors 2 Mini Cooper S's that will be racing. There is also rumored to be 3 additional Mini race teams competing. I drove my Mini S 1200 miles to Daytona to watch the season opener. It is alot of fun! There will be top reps from Mini there there that we can talk to. Tony Nuzzo of Nuzzo Motorsports will arrange for special Mini parking at the track.
The race is at 4:30. I am told it is a 5 hour drive. My navigation in the Mini says 5 hours and 20 minutes for Long Island. I would like to hit the road no later then 6am so we can be upstate and away from city traffic by 8:30 or so. We can stop for breakfast. If we continue our drive by 9:30 we could be at the track between 12-1. That will give us plenty of time to relax before the race. The race is 3 hours max. So it will all be over by 7:30. We can all get dinner by 8:30 and then hit the road back. It would be up to everyone if they want to stop and get a hotel on the way home. I have to open my business at 7:30 am so I will head back that night. It should be alot of fun! Depending where everyone is from, we can plan a meeting spot central to eveyone. I am interested...where is it exactly? I am sponsored by Diamond Racing, and they have a MINI in the Grand Am. I might be able to get some special pit passes.

BTW, I was in Elmira today for the PrixView party & had the pleasure of meeting Tony Nuzzo & seeing the # 20 MINI. "Sweet"!! Looking forward to seeing it in action.
