My suction mount finally gave up suctioning to my center speedo so I need a new mount. Do y'all have any recommendations on which mount works best in the R56?
Also, I noticed today that the lifetime map updates for my unit, the nuvi 265wt, are only $10 more than the one time updates so if you're thinking about updating your maps then check out the difference in price between the lifetime and one-time updates.

My Husband uses this one in his Soul...
Both can be found on the Garmin Website, just look under your Model and click on the "Accessories" tab!!
Hope this helps!!

I found the best mount to be the Kuda mount. It mounts to the left of the tach and is very solid. I ran the wirs through the dash and added a plug [wired into the cig lighter] and an aux output to the AUX port. I used mine [NUVI 5000] as my MP3 player and also as a my backup camera monitor.
Do a search on NAM for Kuda mount. There are a couple of threads. PM me if you want additional info.

Hey all, got my new to me 2008 R52-s and I got a Mini branded NUVI 360 with it.
I also picked up off of ebay a Garmin branded NUVI that has a better working GPS etc.
So what I am thinking of doing is moving the inards of the Garmin branded unit to the MINI branded case. Then trying to copy over the files so that I could get it all working like mini the mini branded.. The battery on the Garmin unit still is usable where as the one in the mini is pretty much pooched. I am doing this out of keeping the car "classic" not because I love the Nuvi so much.
Any suggestions if files for icons are still out there etc.. anyone played around with this?? anyone reading this?? LOL..
Thanks
James
