so hello i am new i just picked up my brand new mini cooper s today. i took it from the dealer parking lot to the tweeter parking lot to get a new stereo. now when i turn on my front window defrost the front speakers fade out?? anyone else have same difficulty or am i the only one.

i am installing 4 6.5" jl xr's, 12w6, 300/4, 250/1, .5 farad cap next week.

please let me know if this problem will go away with new speakers or if i need to contact the dealer.

USA cars don't have front window defrost?!

No idea why there would be any association - best guess would be some sort of grounding error

 

I would contact Tweeter.

 

thanks guys. what i meant was the front window air vent.

update---took it into tweeter and they said they probably fixed it. thanks alot tweeter. anyways another question does anyone know if the stock stereo auto volume leveling has caused any problems and if it can be disabled via the dealer.
