I'm about to pick up my cooper tomorrow , my question is I have already purchased a pioneer 7800mp headunit (I may switch to the 9800 for the blue tooth feature) I'm looking at buying either the infinity 6.5 component for the front or maybe the pioneer REV series. I've heard that the infinity have deep mountaing requirements has anyone installed these in a mini, if so how much work was it.
Ps . I own an car audio /peformance store so I'm no stranger to the work I just want to know what kind of battle I'd be looking at for the Kappa perfects components in the front.
Thanks

I do car audio for a living and i have reference components in the front with spacers the spacers are actually the same depth as the factory speakers which have spacers built into the basket
if you look at my gallery you can see a little bit of the install

This might sound ghetto, but you can modify the factory 5.5s into spacer/mounts for 6.5s.
Cut out/off everything but the mounting ring and screw/glue/JB Weld some MDF onto the ring to mount your 6.5s to. Works perfectly.
