presets
Hello Friends.
I have learned this week that the six preset buttons on my justa cooper base audio system can be programmed for anything in the system and not just radio presets. I dig this but currently lack the imagination and/or insight to determine what might be the best way to utilize those six presets beyond NPR, The Duke Basketball Radio Network, The Carolina Hurricanes Hockey Network, the one decent music station, and, well, ok...I'm out with those five since I don't have XM. So, what are you using your presets for? I already programmed one for my USB connection and my MA programmed another one for oil/tire pressure checks, but do you have any other ideas (legit or funny)? Peace, chris |
I have two buttons set up for Bluetooth phone #1 and Bluetooth phone #2 for music. I like your tire pressure idea. |
Sport performance gauges can be programmed as a preset, but the screen for trip data (distance, time, average economy that trip) cannot be.
|
Have you tried highlighting the Trip data selection and then holding down the preset?

I saved a preset to navigate home. It's a quick way to get a traffic map and ETA. Google maps is more accurate but it's hard to beat one-touch status.

Update: I’m using one a preset for usb phone connection. One to link to the audio presets section. One for the system check. I think the other three are still open. |
Ive settled in with a pretty good setup but still a question has emerged.
Is a there a way to connect to the connected Bluetooth phone via preset? Let me explain. My Presets are: 1 USB Phone 2 IDK 3 uh,,, 4 Jump to Radio Presets 5. Tire pressure 6 Oil level test I would like to add 2 as a way to switch to my phone to access what is playing when I get in the car but I cannot figure out how to assign the preset to a Bluetooth device. Maybe this is because I cannot set a preset to a generic Bluetooth connection and I can see how that might be but I wonder if there is a work around here. I have a very short commute and dont always need to plug in but want to keep listening from the house to the car to the office. And, just hopping over to Bluetooth with one push of a button would be great. So, any ideas? |
