Retrofitting an R56 LCI radio to pre LCI
Hi!
After reading a couple of threads about retrofitting newer model radio's to older MCS, but I cannot find a thread about my own situation. I own a '09 Cooper, so pre LCI (grey buttons, 1 line display, volume below cd slot). I got the base radio fitted, but with the MFSW (voice and phone not working, no bluetooth module connected). If I were to buy a 2012 unit (black, eject button below CD slot, volume moved to speedo), would it be plug & play or do I need rewiring / recoding? Are the 2012 boost CD units all equipped with bluetooth? Or was that optional? Anyone who can help me out? Much appreciated! Thanks, Ardjan |
Did you figure it out? I want to do the same but with an android aftermarket one

This is possible - search LCI retrofit and you should be able to find my thread with pictures!
