HK Door Mid Replacement Opinions

Greetings. My pass door mid went out on my HK system. I have ordered two on eBay, both were bad and returned. The channel seems fine as I tested it with a good speaker I had laying around.

I am now going to just buy a new one which is about $100. My question is... The Kappas are not much more and would replace all front speakers (which the others are 12 yrs old now). The Kappas are 2-2.5 ohms.

Any suggestions?.... And I assume I would just not use the Kappa components sound filter box since the HK amp already filters the sound.

The HK box contains a bunch of filtering / speaker tuning specific to the HK speakers. Depending on your expectations, you may not be happy with the results you get from swapping in a different speaker, especially on one side alone.

I have a complete set of speakers that I know work that I can seek cheaper then the new one you are buysing

I just bit the bullet and ordered a new one. It was about $115.
