2013 And iphoneX
Ok I finally just got my 2013 Cooper S hatchback, Problem is i tried to connect the iphone X through USB to play MUSIC and the screen displays ‘’ cable you care curently using is not supported’’ i changed the cable to another original cable with no out come.
Tried Bluetooth but it works only as handsfree.
tried checking for software update on Mini website it mentioned that software is up to date after entering my Vin.
a bit disapointed with the car, blutooth connections and key less entry/Start engine was way before 2013 so car basicaly feels like a 2005 model with the lack of a good connectivity, Guess its only built to run fast.

I am using The original 3rd Party Iphone Cable, i understood from the comments that i could use an old 30-Pin cable and an Apple adapter to Lightining cable and then it would work, Is that true ?!

You need to use the MINI Y-cable if you're plugging an iDevice into an older generation MINI. A simple USB cable will at best result in you being able to see what's playing and control it, but no sound.
If you have the original Y-cable with the 30-pin adapter on the end, then you can use the Apple Lightning adapter to work with newer iPhones, but you still need the Y-cable.
