Aftermarket head unit and keep HK Amp?

I have a 2013 with the Harmon/Kardon system. I've seen a million threads about bypassing the factory amplifier, but I'd actually like to keep it. I'm looking at a couple of the Android units, some say they are not compatible with the HK or HiFi system, other just say I need a MOST decoder to use it with the HK amp. I can't find anything on the forums suggesting MINI's with the HK system use an optical fiber connection to the amp, however modbridge sells a number of MOST products for the R56/R57.

Here's a link to the unit I'm interested in...

Here's the MOST decoder they are suggesting...

This seller offers an extended harness to go with the factory amplified systems, but the head unit is most likely the same as the previous one... I think it bypasses the factory amp though and uses the amplifier in the head unit.
