iOS 11.1.2 crashing car
Since iOS made its debut, I’ve had no issue with my phone being plugged in via USB. But now that Apple has fixed the bugs relating to iOS itself, it has made using my car’s infotainment center unusable! I’ll be listening to music and then all of a sudden it would crash the infotainment center and forces it to restart. I have the XL. Am I the only one having this issue?

I have a lot of issues with iOS and connecting to my new 2017 Clubman. I only connect bluetooth and have crashed infotainment a few times. And the audio playback in general is flakey. Sometimes the song will restart after about 2 seconds.

I haven't noticed if the profile was wiped out. I haven't set any presets for radio or nav since I just got it. I'll have to set a few and see if it does it to me.

battery and have it play via Bluetooth  |
I disconnected (deleted) my iPhone from the car when 11.1.2 came out as there was also an update to MINI Connected and the new app became very confused. I then started the pairing process over again and since then I've had absolutely no issues.

Happens to me everyday!
This has been THE most frustrating thing I have dealt with! I have a 2017 4door and for an entire year now 8 times out of 10 my phone won’t connect to the car. I have tried Bluetooth, aux cable, and usb. I’ve had the best luck using usb. Most of the time the audio will come out of the phones speakers and not the cars speaker. In order to fix it I have to hard reset the phone and then log back into Spotify for it to play thru the cars speakers. I have taken it into the dealership 2 times for the problem and even spoke with Mini corporate about a solution and no one seems to be having the same problem. If any of you know any tricks please let me know!!

Same issues here. I got my 2017 in August, no issues. Now songs restart or don't play at all. Very sluggish. When was the last time BMW/Mini updated the software ? There have been no updates for iOS 11.

Mine works fine with 11.2.5.

Yeah, no issues here and Im on the developers beta 11.3.
Did you check to see if there was an update to your mini? |
I quit using the Beta on my phone. A couple of iterations ago it caused a hard crash of my 7+ and I had to go back 2 months to get a backup that allowed the phone to work properly again. Lost most of my 34K points on my Vegas solitaire doing that. :(
I still run beta on iPad and MacBook Pro & Air, but not giving it a chance at my phone again. When I got my X I set it up as a new phone to reduce the chance that the glitchy software would affect it. |
The moment the new 11.3 beta came out that featured icloud messaging I installed it.
I was so sick of deleting a message on my phone, work mac, home mac, ipad and apple watch. The new icloud sync deletes the message across the board. |
