2018 Audio Question

My wife's new 2018 Cooper S does not support her old iPod (nano?).
She even has the Mini Y plug.
We don't won't to use phones either.

So can the music be downloaded from the IPOD to a newer device (MP3?)that could plug into the aux. port and that the Mini audio will support?

I tried calling Mini USA but was told to call the dealer.Could not get an exact answer.

Transfer music to a USB drive, I'm assuming the 2018 still has a USB input.

I used a USB drive to transfer the music into the cars 20 gig internal storage drive.

Y-cables won't work on newer MINIs. Most iPods should work provided you are using a Apple brand USB cable or good certified 3rd party cable.

Alternatively, transferring all your music to a USB drive is easy and cheap and is less likely to get stolen out of your car.

The connection is very sensitive to bad cables.

I've gone through several on my 2015.

Try a new cable, clean out the dock connector on the nano.
