Subwoofer Tap for R56 LCI w/ HK

Hi everyone,

I am looking to add a kicker hideaway powered subwoofer to my 2011 MCS with HK sound and mini connected.

Did a search and I just want to confirm I have the correct info.

Tap front speaker input into HK amp. Is the below correct for LCI cars:
FR + pin 9. Bl/gr
FR - pin 17. Bl/yellow
FL + pin 38. Gr/bl
FL - pin 30. Gr/br
Pin 10 is remote line

I've also heard that the amplifier does some EQing to compensate for the size of the HK speakers. Is this true or is the input to the amp already EQed from the headunit? If the later is the case, I may just ditch the whole subwoofer idea.

Thanks in advance!

Integral audio has a plug and play or just a harness. Might be of help for you. http://integralaudio.com/x9331-wiring-harness.html

Thanks! I have seen this harness and it looks awesome.

Hoping I can get clarity for a direct tap.

Was able to test this out. The colors called out in the first post are correct for the front speaker tap.

Further research indicates that for the HK system, both the front and rear get a "full" signal from the headunit. All eqing is done in the amp.

Need more time to test the Kicker Hideaway, initial impressions are it sounds more like a 6x9 with very little extra low end. I will keep tweaking and update.
