I know this is a really old post but do you have any pictures of the install? Also, how are you driving your speakers?

Thanks

Great

I'm specifically interested in the mounting. You obviously deleted the radio and shifted everything else down. Did you have to make mounting brackets? Any issue with cable length for heater and switches? Cut the down tubes?

I've already started on this. Got some spare down tubes to be cut and I'm trying to pick out an amp.

thanks!

So the mount is done by using the existing radio screws and screwing the tablet to the dash using them. The small notch for your headphone jack on one side perfectly aligned with one screw and I files a notch into the other side. No issues with cable length at all. Though I have manual controls. The down tubes did have to be cut quite a lot to fit.

So you didn't have to extend a bracket to hold the switch panel?

Extend, no. Cut up, yes. It has to be sliced a bit, but it fits nicely as the switch gear and the climate control are connected.

I've got the digital temp controls and I'm pretty sure the mounting is separate from the switch panel on the bottom. I won't be sure until I rip the dash open. Do you have a pic of the raw mounting before you put the down tubes back on?

I do not have a photo of that. The way mine were, the switches clicked into the controls for the climate and then both were screwed in together. Next time I pull it apart I'll post some photos. Have you seen timurskernel?
