Hi all,

I recently purchased a 2003 Cooper, with the infamous Harman Kardon amp failure. I may have the opportunity to purchase a R52 amp from a 2007 for a decent price. So, my question is will the 2007 R52 amp work with my 2003 R50? Sorry if this topic has already been covered elsewhere...

My goal is to avoid having a whole new (pricey!) system put in.

Yes it will function but the filters are different.

 

The equalization will be optimized for the convertible's interior and speakers, but most people probably wouldn't notice the difference.
